He’s not just compassionate, but also generous towards Z. Nurse Jason even pledged to pay for the monthly medication that Z needs.
My daughter was admitted to the Adventist Hospital Palawan last January. She was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome (a rare genetic neurological and developmental disorder that affects the way the brain develops). It has symptoms such as slowed head growth, abnormal hand movements, hyperventilating, problems with movement and coordination, and a loss of social interaction and communication. During our stay at the hospital, we felt the care and concern to us of the staff at the hospital, especially Nurse Jason. There was a time when I was exhausted & needed to rest for a few hours. Nurse Jason's duty is only until 11 pm but he extended until 2 am to watch for Z so I can rest. The hospital staff also became the reason for me not to lose hope, especially from weaning my daughter off the mechanical ventilator. The doctors have told us that the chances of Z being removed from the mechanical ventilator are very low because she has been dependent on it for several months already, so we have thought of buying a mechanical ventilator for Z so she can use it at home when she comes out of the hospital. But Nurse Jason told us not to lose hope. And in February, a miracle happened. Z was weaned off from the ventilator! Nurse Jason was even the one who removed the ventilator from Z. He’s not just compassionate, but also generous towards Z. Nurse Jason even pledged to pay for the monthly medication that Z needs. Nurse Jason was always there for Z. Even though Z can't talk, I can see through her eyes and her smile that she is always at peace every time Nurse Jason is in charge of her.
