“One who demonstrates model, outstanding, compassionate patient/family-centered care.” These words describe what a DAISY representative should exemplify. In Jason’s case, being described by his nominator as an “angel in the room” pretty much sums that up.
For one of Jason’s patients and family, it was the care they received that got them through the time spent in ICU. “His calmness, smile and caring attitude was just what we needed at that moment … we could have never gotten through this (honestly) without him,” his nominator said.
Jason’s compassion, attention and constant communication with the family made all the difference.
