He set the tone for the entire visit, alleviated our anxiety, and provided individualized, compassionate care.
My husband recently underwent a total knee replacement. Although he’d had this procedure before at Rush Midwest Orthopedics and knew what to expect, this time everything was new, a different city, hospital, and care team. Naturally, we were both anxious.
From the moment we arrived and waited outside pre-op, the nerves were high. Jason greeted us with a calm demeanor and a reassuring smile, instantly making us feel we were in good hands. He took my husband back for preparation and, true to his word, returned 30 minutes later to get me.
Throughout, Jason was patient and kind, adapting his approach to meet my husband's needs and easing his anxiety. It was clear Jason had earned the respect of the physicians, as seen in their interactions during assessments and the nerve block procedure. Any anxiety we brought with us disappeared by the time my husband was prepped for surgery and rested comfortably after his nerve block and post-anesthesia nap.
Even though there was a minor issue with pre-op medications as the OR nurse was ready to take him back, Jason’s calm and professional handling of the situation continued the therapeutic care he’d been providing. He reassured both of us that my husband was in excellent hands.
Jason is a true asset to your team—passionate about nursing and genuinely sincere in his interactions with patients. I believe he is the reason our experience was so positive. He set the tone for the entire visit, alleviated our anxiety, and provided individualized, compassionate care.
