Jason Van, BSN

Jason’s peers see his potential as a shining star in nursing. He is a delight to have in class as he is upbeat and cares deeply about the material. Jason is communicative, passionate about positively representing his community in the nursing field, and takes extra care to include his peers in his respectful, kind, and caring presence and compassion. He is an advocate for justice, diversity, equity, and inclusivity and isn’t afraid to speak out for what is right. During his intro to the profession of nursing course and EBP courses, he told stories of standing up for his community. He isn’t afraid to enter a profession that is historically dominated by females and shake things up with his unique perspectives and big ideas. We are sure that Jason will pave new paths in the profession and believe in him to make this caring profession better. For these reasons, he is worthy of the DAISY in Training Award!
