Additionally, JT was so thoughtful with me. He moved the chair closer to the bed for me, brought me water, and was constantly checking on my well-being.
My husband had vascular surgery and was in the CVICU overnight. JT took excellent care of him and demonstrated the true meaning of being a compassionate and caring nurse. Specifically, he treated my husband with respect and dignity, even calling him “partner”, as he stated they were partners in helping him to feel better. JT answered our many questions with a calm and patient demeanor. He discussed at-home procedures with us, including diet and exercise, and encouraged us to speak with his doctors for further instructions.
JT made sure to check on my husband’s pain level to ensure that he was ahead of the pain, so my husband was comfortable. Additionally, JT was so thoughtful with me. He moved the chair closer to the bed for me, brought me water, and was constantly checking on my well-being which lessened my anxiety and helped me to feel more comfortable. Perhaps the most touching moment was when we were leaving the hospital and JT was on his lunch break. JT was notified and he interrupted his lunch to literally run upstairs, as he was out of breath, to see my husband and me before we left. He wanted to say goodbye and to ask if we had everything we needed. It is difficult to pinpoint one specific thing that JT did for us; it was simply everything about him that was reassuring and helpful. We appreciate him and his kindness.
