Nurse Shaheed always shows great concern when I address her with any problems I have. If there was an issue, she had a solution. She really took the time to understand my needs so they could be properly met. I was afraid to transition back into civilian life because of my drug addiction, but she helped me be confident in the things I learned in the MHRRTP program. I never liked water. Nurse Shaheed reiterated time and time again how important it was for me to increase my fluids. I still don’t like water, but now I fill my cup up to take my pills. Nurse Shaheed would explain my medication and its use when I would forget. There should be nurses like Shaheed everywhere. She is kind, educational, understanding, and the listening ear that veterans need.
