Jatim Wagner was nominated by a patient who presented for a procedure:
“I went to the doctor thinking I was doing something completely different than what happened. I was scared, well, actually, I was terrified during this appointment due to the procedure that needed to be done. I was very unprepared,” wrote the patient. “Jatim talked to me a lot about the procedure and offered her hand to hold during.
This made the actual exam way more tolerable. She was beyond kind, taking time to help me and focus on other things. She made sure I was doing fine after everything. She took her time with me even after to help settle the tears. She could have just left me be, but thankfully, she stood with me.”
