Javier was encouraging to me. I felt connected and reassured that I was going to make it.
Javier's genuine concern for me, his friendly way of communicating, and his initiative to research reasons for my unexplained fever are just a few of the reasons I feel he is a DAISY Nurse. He was able to communicate with me, even though I am partially deaf, to help me understand what was going on regarding medicines, treatments, and my diagnosis. As I am 94, I sometimes have a hard time understanding. He showed great initiative to troubleshoot and research the symptoms I was displaying. He was encouraging to me. I felt connected and reassured that I was going to make it. Each time I requested assistance, he responded quickly. He was patient with me to make sure I understood and actually heard what he was saying. He was also very helpful to my daughter who was staying with me to assist in my care. His care of me was excellent and was the BEST care that I received at Methodist West. He is an outstanding RN!
