May 2026 Honoree
Jay Myth, RN
Jay was one of our favorite nurses during our stay here!
He has a very relaxed but upbeat attitude, and he was the only person who was able to encourage my son to get up and walk for the first time with his chest tube. He gave a challenge to find how many cats he had pictured on the unit pet wall. It was a very creative way to get my son to interact with them.
Jay's kindness and steady presence will not be easily forgotten.
Even when he wasn't our nurse, he encouraged and chatted with my son as he walked around the hall, and he always helped him remember that recovery was hard, but that he could do it, and that he believed in him.
It's always the little things that make the biggest impact. We will always remember the kindness that Jay showed to us, especially my son.
Thank you for taking care of us, and we wish you many years of happy nursing!
