August 2024 Honoree
Jay Vasquez, BSN, RN
Jay,
Mom wanted to tell you thank you but that doesn’t seem adequate to tell you what you meant to her during this really long week. Sometimes, it seems like people get dropped into our lives for a reason, and as much as she didn’t want to transfer to this floor, she needed you. Thank you for caring for her with such compassion and kindness. You have gained a very special place in her heart, and she will never forget you. Trust me, she has the best memory in the history of ever (ha-ha)! You should be proud of the nurse you have become, because not all nurses are the same. You are special, so please keep blessing patients with the gift you have been given. When you walk into room X, remember the sweet little 91-year-old lady who adores you!
