Jayce came into our journey at a time filled with confusion, fear, and so many unanswered questions. My husband and I were in complete shock, struggling to process everything happening around us. Jayce was the very first nurse we met after being transferred to the STICU, and from that moment on, his presence made an overwhelming situation feel a little less frightening.

While I am a nurse myself, in a very different specialty, I had never felt so vulnerable or unsure. Jayce met that vulnerability with extraordinary patience, compassion, and grace. Even when I needed to talk things out loud to process, he never made me feel like a burden. He took the time to be present during physician rounds, then returned to our room to walk through everything again, making sure we understood and felt supported. That level of care meant more to us than words can express.

Jayce's calm confidence and gentle demeanor brought a sense of peace to our family during one of the toughest moments of our lives. We were incredibly fortunate to have him for five of the six nights we spent in the STICU. Each time Jayce came on shift, I felt an immediate sense of relief knowing we were in capable, compassionate hands. He consistently advocated for us and was a true source of comfort and knowledge throughout our stay.

After spending so many nights together, by the time we were transferred out of the STICU, Jayce no longer felt like just our nurse; he felt like a friend. I truly believe our paths crossed for a reason, and that Jayce was placed in our lives exactly when we needed him most.

We are endlessly grateful for the care, kindness, and dedication he showed our family. Jayce will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
