Jaylene has been my nurse 3 of the days that I have been here. As a patient who has comorbid conditions, I have had many hospitalizations and have spent many days and weeks in the hospital. While you are admitted your nurse is your lifeline. He or she is the person who is responsible for the majority of your care throughout the day. This can be a good thing or a bad thing. For me this was a wonderful blessing. You want a nurse who is respectful, kind, compassionate, accountable, and a nurse that goes above and beyond for you. A nurse who watches out for you and will advocate for you and keep what is best for you at the forefront of your care. Like I mentioned before Jaylene was my nurse 3 days for 12 hours each day. Each of those days she showed respect, she was kind, she was smart and could always answer my questions and if she couldn’t she would find someone who could. She went above and beyond each and every day for me. She was always on time with my meds. I was never left waiting in pain or even just for my regular meds. She allowed me to make my own medical decisions even if they weren’t the best choice for me. I never felt judgement. Jaylene was one of the best nurses that I have ever had. Over many admissions and hospital stays she was one of the kindest, most attentive, caring nurses I have ever had. She is in my opinion an asset to this floor and the Lifespan system as a whole. In a perfect world, all nurses would possess these same traits. I would like to say Thank You to Jaylene for her outstanding care and in my opinion, she is a true DAISY Nurse.
