As a fellow nurse myself, I understand the magnitude and significance of the DAISY Award. I would be remiss if I didn't take a moment to nominate Jalyn for caring for my dad and my family during his last days. Jalyn was compassionate, kind, and professional. She truly embodied what an experienced registered nurse represents. Not once did she rush my family with making decisions. She made us feel heard and valued, even when I'm sure she was probably busy with her other, more critical patients. I see many fellow nurses losing their spark or empathy and going through the motions throughout their shifts. I can tell Jalyn enjoys what she does and truly has a gift to help her feel supported during difficult times. I pray, Jalyn, that you always keep that spark, even on your difficult days.
