A patient passed away during surgery. Mr.Kuhn, RN, assisted with the code and demonstrated exceptional skill, compassion, and professionalism throughout the event. His calm presence and clinical expertise provided vital support to both the patient and the surgical team.
Following the code, Mr. Kuhn continued to show extraordinary care. He performed excellent post-mortem care, ensuring dignity and respect for the patient. Recognizing the family's need for a peaceful environment, he voluntarily arranged for the patient to be transferred back to the ICU in a controlled, clean room so that loved ones could mourn privately. This thoughtful gesture required additional effort beyond his regular duties.
