JC Jimeno is simply an awesome nurse. One reason I want to point out this nurse is because he educated me and got me to change my mind regarding having a cardiac cath today, that was planned but I wanted to cancel. I have a severe iodine allergy. Last time I needed an angiogram, I was given the dye and needed to be coded and intubated, so I was nervous about that happening again. JC reassured me that everyone is aware of the allergies and the severity of the reaction. He also educated me that I am on medication now to prevent problems. He assured me the cath lab team will be on ready for any emergent situation if it were to come up. Throughout all the discussions of the morning, JC was always kind to me, reassured me, explained things so well to me, but let me make my decision. After all the interaction, I felt more at ease and comfortable proceeding with the procedure.
