John (JD) was nominated for the DAISY Award by two different patients and his manager. In the nomination they wrote, "John always makes me feel happy, motivated and comfortable everytime he takes care of me. I have been in the hospital for a long time and he is so personable and bright, he always makes me feel good. He puts his patients on a pedestal and will always drop everything he is doing to help reposition a patient in bed with a "that's what I am here for attitude." He advocates for his patients even if it takes all day to get results. He also volunteers for capstone students everytime, making it challenging and fun for them."
