My daughter is a 3 bone marrow transplant survivor. We were at the hospital for 115 days in a row the first time and have a few hundred nurses to compare JD Gartman to. His caring and compassion for the patient are far beyond being professional, you can tell that in his manner he wants to do anything that will help his patient to be comfortable and improve.
I am the father of the patient and a retired Deputy Sheriff of 31 years; so, when I say that I felt 100% sure that JD had my little girl (35 years old) taken care of, you can count on it. JD answered questions, addressed concerns that were not asked about yet, knowing these things that would probably come up later. With each visit, he would ask if there was anything else he could get for us or anything that he could do.
JD was not afraid to call the doctor which I have seen all too many times. JD is an advocate for the patient. I know that many times a nurse is a thankless position and not a lot of patients take the time to say, "Thank you," for effort far and above the norm.
With that in mind, Thank you, JD, for being the best nurse that anyone showing up at a hospital could ever hope to have.
