There is not one specific story that could clearly demonstrate how this RN makes a meaningful difference in care, because they always make a difference in every aspect of care they provide. It doesn’t matter if they are doing their RN duties by giving medications, assessing a patient, performing skin checks, checking wounds, toileting a patient, making sure they are comfortable, checking if patients are hungry of thirsty, trying to figure out what the patients are saying if they are difficult to understand or just being a companion to the patient for a little bit, allowing them to feel comforted, heard and cared for.

JD is one of the best nurses I have ever met in my sixteen years of being an LNA. They are willing to learn new things to better themselves and better their patient care. They are willing to jump in and help anyone, no matter what is going on or if they are doing something else at the time, and they go far above and beyond for not only their patients, but their co-workers as well. JD will drop what they are doing in an instant to offer a helping hand. They are the definition of what a role model nurse should be.
