I have been a patient at MCI for a little over a year. I see a physician in Medical Oncology and receive Chemotherapy in the MCI Infusion suite. When I arrive, Jean Allsup always greets me with a pleasant smile and addresses me by name. Jean remembers my preferences and always asks about my family by name. Jean goes out of her way to ensure I am comfortable during treatment and understands all of my medications. Jean has taken extra time lately to explain my treatment regimen to my family in a simplified manner that was easy for everyone to understand. A diagnosis of cancer is difficult to live with and to endure, with all of the tests, medications, and therapy a patient goes through. It can become overwhelming very quickly. Jean Allsup has made my treatments here at MCI as pleasant as any medical procedure can be. Her kind attitude and smiling face brighten my day and put me at ease. Jean Allsup is a DAISY Nurse for the selfless manner in which she cares for her patients and the professionalism she demonstrates while providing that care.
