Jean exemplifies the meaning of "team player". Jean works on med-surg and she walks to the therapy office in the morning to find out what time patients are scheduled for therapy so that the orthopedic patients can be pre-medicated for pain. This makes a tremendous difference in a patient's tolerance and willingness to get moving. Any day that I know Jean is working I know my day will be off to a great start. Jean is also friendly and easily approachable. She always smiles and says 'hi' when you pass her in the hallway. Jean demonstrates a genuine caring and concerning attitude for her patients and co-workers. Jean also presents a healthy image to her patients. This is a way that she leads her patients and her coworkers; by example.
