From the moment Mrs. Cefalu lectured in our Health Assessment course last spring, I knew there was something special about her as a faculty member. She was energetic, smiling and happy to be present in our class to teach us everything she knew about Cardiovascular assessment. Each time I witnessed Mrs. Cefalu interact with a patient, I would think to myself, "That's the kind of nurse I want to be." She showed me what it means to truly, genuinely, compassionately care for patients.
