Jean McConkey is an amazing RN who cares about her patients. Jean is the Bariatric Coordinator here at Horizon Health and previously worked in Family Practice. She puts her heart and soul into this program every single day. Jean is always going above and beyond for the patients. She has worked late, worked through lunch, and even came in after hours to get a patient her pain medication after the patient had gotten home and the pharmacy had stated the medication had not been sent in yet. Jean came in on her own time, printed the prescription, and faxed it to the pharmacy. Jean made sure that the pharmacy had the prescription and could fill it before she even left. I work in the same office as Jean and hearing her on the phone with patients is so amazing. She thoroughly explains everything to the patients and I have learned a lot from her in the 2 years that I have worked with her. I don't know anybody who deserves an award more than Jean.
