Jean Santaguida, MSN, APRN, ANP-BC, OCN

As the chaplain, I have worked with Jean for almost three years in both Mariners and Fishermen's Oncology Departments. I have witnessed over and over Jean's care to detail in the complex care of cancer patients; managing their intense therapy protocols. I have witnessed Jean's humanitarian outreach and compassion as we have supported and prayed with patients together at our entities, and even reaching out to them at other locations letting them know they are valuable and loved. Jean recently called a patient and gathered nurses, and me, as the chaplain, around while the patient was at another entity. A group gathering call of support and prayer for a patient at the end of his life. The patient had bonded with Jean and the caregivers; it was meaningful and important to him.
