January 2019 Honoree
jeana cartwright, BSN, RN
Jeana admitted an elderly patient close to midnight and his wife was at the bedside. She asked Jeana about cabs to get home because she had to let her dogs out. Jeana told her that she didn't need to worry about a cab so late at night as it wasn't "safe," she would clock out and take her home since it was nearby. The lady stayed with her husband until he was settled for the night and Jeana took her home around 2 in the morning. Jeana also recently offered to travel with a family to St. Louis if they were not able to get an ambulance to take their loved one there for her care and had to travel by private vehicle. Jeana loves her patients and really gets to know them and connects with them while caring for them.
Thank you, Jeana, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
