Jeana called as my pre-op nurse to get my med info and advise me of what to do the day of surgery. I was due for an EGD at the time of year, but I had a gallbladder attack earlier in the month and had a stent put in. After my gallbladder surgery and I was healed, the stent needed to come out, but I still needed an EGD. Rather than have the stent removed and to have to come back for another EGD at a later time, Jeana spoke with the CRNA and the doctor and they coordinated things so I could have the two procedures at once and saving me another visit and anesthesia to have both things taken care of in one day. Hooray!
