Jeanean is an amazing team member. She is respected by the surgical teams, clinicians, and nurse manager. She is smart, selfless, and creative. I am so proud to call her my student, my minion, and my friend. Jeanean epitomizes all the attributes TGH values. Jeanean lives and breathes the values of Tampa General. Her kindness and her skills are unmatched and inspiring to all of us who are fortunate to be her teammates. Jeanean is safety aware for all patients, striving to achieve zero harm is part of who she is!

Last weekend, with a busy case load, Jeanean was attentive to the alerts broadcast over and through the safety system. A Code Pink was alerted. Jeanean was very attentive to her surroundings and realized when she saw a patient with a newborn outside of the allowed boundaries, that it was related to the Code. She jumped into action, alerted security, and followed the patient and newborn until security arrived. Jeanean’s diligence and promotion of a safe environment exemplify the type of RN we are proud to have in the Case Management Department and at Tampa General Hospital. Jeanean is a Hero!
