I can't thank you enough for taking the time to just listen to my predicament with my family falling apart as I lay unable to get out of the hospital to help.
Dear Jeanette, I was your patient. I was the poet with cellulitis... lol I wanted to share the Nurse poem with you, and those who gave me such wonderful care. Please find enclosed 10 copies of that poem. The signed one is for you personally. The others you can disperse as you see fit. I can't thank you enough for taking the time to just listen to my predicament with my family falling apart as I lay unable to get out of the hospital to help. Your kindness did not go unnoticed at all! I hope the poem finds a special place in your world, as it truly reflects the sacrifices you and your coworkers make for patients like me and those who aren't as willing to cooperate. Thank you again, and hopefully you won't have to see me again for a good long while!

Nurse
A job relentless in its demands, you accepted without pauseT

he time required of you has never made you doubt your decision daily you stand, often between life and death, and each day you return

Willing to help others fight their fight, win their battles, stand tall again No matter the time, no matter the problem, you remain calm, professional, in control

No wound too large, no pain too small, no call unheard You are the one who helps up heal

No grace given by many, few will speak your praise, yet you earn such daily

Let this be a testament to your strength of will, your stamina, your drive for no man, nor woman shall break the spirit you carry

Your hands bring healing, your hands help those who are dying live with dignity

Your heart brings passion to your work, enrichment to your patients

Commitment only few who walk in your shoes understand For you are a Nurse

Nurses committed to the healing of the sick, giving of their time, and energy,

When the worst of humanity has been placed in their care

Always should a thank you be extended, but seldom is it said, or heard.

Gratitude not given, yet earned, you still give.

Know that gratitude is often in the smile as we leave, the thank you we whisper. In the moment we are released from your care to that of our families

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, even if we don't speak it from our lips

For your commitment is why so many of us are alive today
