Jeanette completed accurate and rapid assessments on a patient who arrived on B5N for end-of-life care. She ensured the patient was comfortable with medications and BiPAP. She also ensured the IV was patent, that patient needs were answered swiftly and without hesitation.

Compassionate Care:
A 21-year-old male end-of-life care patient arrived on B5N, and Jeanette immediately began assessment for comfort based on the needs of the patient. He was never in distress or discomfort as family surrounded him. Jeanette took her time in the room, never rushing, allowing the patient and family to express emotional and physical needs during the patient's passing.

Exemplary Service:
Jeanette not only assisted in the comfortable passing of a 21-year-old who had been dealing with cancer for four years, but also helped care for the 20-plus family and friends who remained at his bedside, making sure the transition was peaceful and beautiful. The family commended Jeanette for her care, over and over, reporting that it was exactly as everyone had hoped it would be.
