When the DAISY Foundation initiated the DAISY Award Program for Extraordinary Registered Nurses to recognize "super human work done by nurses every day", they must have been thinking of the work of Jeanette Miura. Jeanette expemplifies a can-do attitude and approaches challenges with a belief that "Together Everyone Achieves More!"
Jeanette treats everyone with respect, kindness, and compassion, and is especially known to go out of her way to help patients, families, and staff. Whenever patients and families are grieving or in distress, she assits in any way possible to them trough the trying moments. It is not uncommon for her to spend as much time as necessary to ensure that the patient and/or the family receives the appropriate care or nuturing during stressful moments of their lives-day or night, connecting them with nursing support, social services, or other resources; even to the point of seeking wheelchairs to transport patients from all locations.
Jeanette engages, motivates, and inspires other to collaboratively achieve common goals through example, vision and committment.
