Jeanette Noriega, RN

Jeanette has made my cancer treatments every other week not just a pleasure but a chance to learn and reflect on what is going on with my health, my family, and my life. She is not just efficient in her job, but she brings a sense of humor and a sense of humanity to her work. I leave each Wednesday after chemo and each Friday when I return after giving back my pump, with a stable, happy, positive vibe, and I attribute much of that to the energy and professionalism that Jeanette brings to her job. She is knowledgeable about the treatments I am getting, on top of the schedule and the ordering of drugs from the pharmacy, efficient and attentive as machines are buzzing and alarms sounding, caring and concerned enough to ask questions and share her own funny personal stories. We have bonded around puppies and kids and the transition from one job to another. I strongly recommend Jeanette for the DAISY Award and hope the committee recognizes in her that same extraordinary sense of purpose and commitment in her work at Norwalk Hospital, as evidenced by her care and professionalism with her patients.
