The patient who nominated Jeanette wrote "Throughout my life I have been in and out of hospitals. Just this year I have been an inpatient here five times. The lord blessed me by allowing me the opportunity to have Jeanette as my nurse. She has been a shoulder for me to cry on, an ear to listen when, in frustration, I needed to vent. She always is going out of her way to make my family and me comfortable."

The patient had spent many days eating the same food and lying in bed. She describes how Jeanette took her to the courtyard, got her food from a restaurant, and ate with her. She also described how Jeanette brought movies for her to watch and a book for her to read. The patient comments that she knows everything will be OK when Jeanette walks through the door.
