From a patient
(This is condensed from a long letter detailing the patient’s experience at another facility before he was transferred to TMMC ED with an emergency heart condition.)

Jeanette Souza was the first person I saw (at TMMC) and from that time on she never left me. She was doing her job; no more than that. I knew I was going to die; but, no, Jeanette said “No, you are here at one of the best hospitals in Torrance.” So between Nurse Jeanette and EMT and many more, they saved me. I stayed for 6-7 hours and Jeanette was never out of sight. I was so depressed, I wanted to die. Thank you so much. I recently stopped in to see her and I lucked out. She was on call. I said “Hello, Thank you” and I cried. It took me a while to leave my parking spot.

Jeanette is so special to me, I cannot say enough. Bless her, all the others and thank you “Torrance” for being there for me.
