jeanne kehl, RN, CPAN, CAPA
I have worked with Jeanne Kehl for two years and I would like to nominate her for this award for many different reasons. She has a very genuine and caring nature about her. I've seen her care for her patients in a loving and compassionate way. Her knowledge is very impressive and she is a huge resource to the PACU team.
The longer I work beside Jeannie the more I have learned about her humanitarian effort as well. Jeanne makes pillows for our patients who have undergone mastectomy surgery or breast biopsies. These patients have found these pillows to be just the right size to help in their healing process by relieving pressure off the surgery site. They also bring the patients a feeling of peace and hope.
Jeanne also volunteers her time with "Operation Smile" twice a year where she serves with medical teams that provide surgery and recovery to children with birth defects such as cleft lip. Jeanne just returned from her last mission in October, where she served in Ibarra Ecuador.
I think Jeanne is a very special nurse who should be recognized for going above and beyond.
