She makes you feel more like family than a patient. She talked me through everything, which made labor so much more enjoyable. I didn't have to ask for anything. She knew what I needed when I needed it.
My Niece delivered her baby girl at Grant Medical Center and Jeanne was her nurse. She was so kind and made all of us feel so comfortable. She was very informative and explained everything to all of us. As we were waiting during the labor period, she did her normal routine with my niece and left the room only to come back within minutes with cups of coffee for all of us. She even brought sugars and creamers! That little gesture went a long way for us!
During the delivery, she didn't miss a beat; she made sure not only that my niece got the best of care and knew what was happening every step of the way, but she also made sure we did too! She was heaven-sent. It was like she was a part of our family during the whole process! She is most definitely exceptional and the best nurse!

My daughter had her baby at Grant and her nurse was Jeanne Marie. Even though this was her 3rd child you never know what to expect with labor and delivery. Jeanne Marie was so amazing with my daughter. She was very attentive to what she needed when she needed it. She was very kind and respectful to everyone in the room. She not only made sure my daughter had everything she needed but also us. She brought us coffee when we didn't even ask for it which was so thoughtful. She talked us through everything and told my daughter to never feel sorry for needing anything or ever feel like she was a bother. She made us all feel like we were a part of her family. I feel like we couldn't have been blessed with a better nurse to care for my daughter and grandchild. She was so informative throughout the whole process and told us what was happening when it was happening. She even educated us when she could, which was nice, so we knew why things were happening. She was the most wonderful nurse, and we are so blessed to have had the opportunity to experience labor with her.

I went for my scheduled induction for my 3rd baby. Jeanne Marie helped make my labor and delivery such a breeze. She was on top of everything when I needed something and even went out of her way to make my support team comfortable. She made labor and delivery such a special and unforgettable experience. Jeanne-Marie made me feel so understood and explained everything that would be happening to me when I came in very scared to triage at 23 weeks pregnant. As a first-time mama, I had no idea what to expect, and especially being so early in my pregnancy, I was worried about what the outcome would be. I was so scared for my baby, and she held me and told me it was okay to cry if I needed it. We made it another week and 2 days, and thanks to her planning ahead, we had everything in place when my little guy decided to come very quickly. She checked on me the day after he was born, when I was in postpartum recovery, and during my son's stay in the NICU. The morning my son passed away, she came back to hold me in the NICU chair and told me how beautiful he was. I will forever be grateful for the impact she left on my life as well as my family. I hope that someday she will be our nurse again when we bring a rainbow into our lives.
