Jeannie is very approachable and only wants the best outcome for all of the patients. Jeannie is a great preceptor to the new hires, who are mostly new graduates; she is patient, kind, and encouraging.
It was a great day when Jeannie joined us on Turner 4, she comes to work with a positive attitude, a sense of humor and a smile on her face. While most people are sleeping, Jeannie is at work on T4 nights, taking care of patients and overseeing the unit as the charge nurse. Jeannie is very approachable and only wants the best outcome for all of the patients. Jeannie is a great preceptor to the new hires, who are mostly new graduates; she is patient, kind, and encouraging.
One of the most recent nurses whom she precepted said, "Jeannie is a great preceptor, you can ask a question 5 times and she responds as if it is your first time asking the question". She works to build their confidence and helps them adjust to the night shift. She is a role model and mentor to her peers. Jeannie takes fantastic care of the patients and is a great advocate, when reporting off to the next shift, she endearingly refers to all patients as kids, no matter what their age. Jeannie is calm, which is perfect for the charge nurse role, she is full of team spirit, and her sense of humor helps the nurses get through many difficult, busy nights.
She is also a member of the Infection Control Committee and is an Infection Control Champion and brings important information to the night shift. Jeannie is an excellent nurse and team member, and she should be recognized for the amazing work that she does.
