Jean was our instructor in learning to care for my husband when he had colostomy surgery. She was patient, kind, and caring as we walked through the learning stages in the following weeks and months. She demonstrated exemplary care and helpfulness as we dealt with a difficult problem in his ostomy care. She and her colleague met with us on very short notice when we needed help "fast." She provided us with the knowledge needed to help the situation and the materials needed; also gave us info and resources to get our much-needed supplies. She went out of her way to help us on numerous occasions in the months following my husband's surgery. She is the epitome of what makes a good nurse an outstanding nurse.
