Jeff is a truly exceptional nurse. I have worked in healthcare for 30 years, and Jeff is a nurse whom one may encounter once or twice in a career if they are lucky. Jeff not only possesses expertise at the highest level of his profession, but also projects all of the qualities a patient hopes their nurse also possesses, such as respect, patience, kindness, empathy, compassion, and consideration for patients who are scared, hurting, exhausted, and often times far away from home, family, any and all external supports.

I encountered Jeff the first night I was transferred out of the ICU after a major surgery. I was in a significant amount of pain and was receiving conflicting information from all the various doctors visiting me. I also struggled with a significantly high level of post-op pain. Jeff was able to help me navigate my care orders and redirect my anxiety and frustration by taking the time to explain what was happening and advocate for me when needed. His approach to patient care let me know he was there to support me, never rushed our interactions, and acted as if he was there solely to comfort and educate me during a difficult time.
