Jeff is one of the best nurses I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. He is the prime example of what a nurse should be. Jeff shows compassion to all patients, their families, and our staff. Jeff is known through IRMC for his willingness to help his co-workers.

Jeff helps orient new nurses on his unit. His true passion for medicine shines through. Everyone he mentors, Jeff finds moments to teach. I love watching and learning from him. I have learned so much from him during my time here. We take turns asking each other random medical questions. Any student or orientee would be blessed to have Jeff mentor them. I have been a nurse for 5 years and I wish I could go back and have a teacher like him.

Jeff inspires me to be a better nurse every day. Not only does he inspire others, but he is also always there when you need a hand. He responds to every code in the hospital during his shift. You can trust and depend on him. Jeff advocates for the patients and when he responds to codes, sometimes even thinks of things the MD hasn’t yet. While I’m not sure of one specific situation, I know the way that he inspires me every single shift. In my humble opinion, Jeff is the epitome of the DAISY Award. Please recognize this extraordinary nurse for all that he does for our patients and staff. I hope one day to be as inspiring and knowledgeable as Jeff.
