Jefferson Washington Twp MSL

We had a special needs patient on our unit for almost a month. She came in from home alone. This patient had special needs, nonverbal, and autistic. Our staff treated her as if she were their own family.  When the patient first arrived, she would only crawl around on the floor of the room. Justine Taylor-Waltor, Tech, Marie Tolete, Tech, and Any Valeanu, Tech took it upon themselves to get her into the shower, again using nice-smelling soaps, and gave her a nice, long, hot shower, including washing her hair. Kris Hunt, Nursing Supervisor, even stopped at McDonald's a few times to bring some treats in, which the patient really enjoyed. Any Valeanu, tech went to L&D to get Johnson and Johnson soap to bathe her because it was nicer-smelling soap than what we had here on MSL.  Rebecca Dill, APN on MSL, bought her clothing, snacks, and Depends, and even offered to take her dirty clothes home to wash them.
