We, unfortunately, have spent two long periods at the UNMH General Pediatric unit in the last two years. While everyone (and I mean this with all my heart) is extraordinary there, we have been fortunate to spend a lot of time with Jeff as our nurse. He is incredibly kind to our child and amazing at keeping us comfortable during our stay. He goes the extra mile, checking in on use and meeting the needs that we have had while caring for our daughter. When challenged with a situation that wasn't working out this last visit and making our child extremely upset, he advocated for a change in procedure and got tests done quickly to make sure that the needs of the patient and caregivers were met. He expresses kindness at all times. He shows empathy when a situation is tough. He worked with us to make sure that our child got the best care possible.
