I have had Jeffery Servita as my nurse for a couple days. I have been in the hospital for a few days in serious pain, not knowing what could make it better. The pain was just that bad there was nothing that could make it better. When you're in that much pain the last thing you want is a bad nurse. Thank God for Jeff's caring and loving spirit. The second he came in my hospital room to introduce himself I knew from that point on the day was going to be a good day. There are two types of nurses. There are nurses who are just nurses because the pay is good. Then there's nurses such as Jeff. Nurses who have the heart for this job. There are many reasons why he's such a great nurse; today I'm speaking on how he has made such a horrible experience into a situation that wasn't as bad as the day before. He came in smiling which in an instant turned my frown upside down. Anytime he came in no matter if he was called or not, he made sure he asked if there was anything else I needed. No matter if I hit the call light a million times back-to-back the man came in smiling ready to do any assignment or task that you had for him. Coming in with a smile like that, who could have a bad day with a nurse whose spirit was so uplifting and loving. Your mood automatically changes. Your bad day shifts to a good day and your frown turns into a smile quickly. Thank you for making my gloomy day sunny. A lot of people don't realize it's because of nurses’ patients get better and become more active versus laying in these hard hospital beds wondering how long your body is going to have to suffer through yet another sickle cell crisis. Every patient you had was treated nothing short of amazing and like the rest I'm very pleased to have you as my nurse, you are amazing!
