Thanks to Jeff’s careful attention and quick action I avoided severe complications and unnecessary pain and suffering.
Jeff is an excellent nurse. He has exceptional critical nursing skills. As he did his postop assessments, he kept a keen eye on the amount of pain I was in and how swollen my arm and fingers were. He immediately called the physician after noticing a marked increase in the swelling and reported his concern asking for the doctor to evaluate. Even though the chances of a complication with my surgery were low, he wanted to rule out compartment syndrome. After the doctor evaluated me, he agreed that there was a legitimate concern and I went back to surgery that evening during which compartment syndrome was confirmed and addressed.
