May 2025 Honoree
Jeffrey Wolf 2025, RN
Our family member (father & husband) J was admitted to Buffalo VA after having a serious, near-fatal heart attack. After discharge from the ICU, J was transferred to the 8D floor. Even though there were days when my husband was not his patient, he (Jeff) still always went out of his way to look in and ask if J, me, or our family needed anything or if he could do something for us. When he was J's nurse for the day, he was so kind, so patient, and so encouraging. When people stopped, J would always say "Jeff" was the "best". Any questions or concerns we had were always addressed. If it didn’t happen right away, he followed up and got back to us. He went out of his way every time to make J comfortable. The experience of the heart attack and recovery was very scary, but Jeff was calm and reassuring when we needed it most. Jeff Wolf is an exemplary "nurse”, and the VA is very lucky to have him on its staff. He definitely helped us through this most difficult time. His team adored him, too. He is a wonderful man and a kind human being. The world is a better place because of Jeff Wolf and his dedication.
Thank you, Jeffrey, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
