I am almost 80 years old and have never met a more deserving person to receive some kind of recognition. Whenever the doctor leaves, I ask nurses to let me know my condition is progressing. Luckily, I met Jem Doane, RN. She came to my room and explained all the questions I asked. She talked to me very deliberately and made sure before she left the room that I understood exactly what was happening.
She takes pride in her job. I asked her where she gets her energy and she told me she loves to help people and energy is not an option, it is a must. All I can say at my age, I have never met a more proud lady in the medical field She is an excellent educator of patients and their families.
