We have a 17-year-old patient who was in a car accident. She sustained multiple injuries including becoming a paraplegic. In this horrific accident, another occupant in the car died. This young girl is very emotionally distraught and closed off since her accident. For her to reach out to this nurse is an amazing testimony of the work done here on RIO. Jen has definitely made a lifelong impact on this young girl, as well as her family.

I want to thank Jen for her daily interactions with her patients and their families. She consistently conducts herself honestly and openly in discussions with us. She clearly cares for her patients and families. Jen always greets patients and visitors in a friendly manner, exhibits a positive and supportive attitude and demonstrates empathy and concerns appropriately. She has excellent listening skills. She is able to assess family dynamics and respond accordingly. My daughter is very headstrong and somewhat closed off to people. Jen's compassion and skill have touched M. M is cooperative and listens to Jen. She actually stated that Jen is her favorite nurse.
