Jena Shannon, BSN, RN

From the minute my father-in-law J was put in her care she treated him as family. She cared for him as if he were her family not like he was her “job”. She went above and beyond all expectations. She explained all aspects of his care and conditions clearly and straightforwardly. Every time we called for an update she never got frustrated and took the time to be patient and explain. She is a true angel to the profession, to ARMC ICU, to my father-in-law, and to our family. I could go on and on about why Jena should receive the DAISY Award. She was a ray of sunshine each morning for six days during his stay. The nursing profession needs a thousand nurses just like Jena Shannon!
