Dr. J is a phenomenal educator. She was both my clinical and lecture instructor and in both settings she displayed the skills that I hope to acquire as a future nurse. She was willing to go out of her way to ensure her students understood all content that she provided, and she always would show such a positive attitude in any scenario. As a nurse educator, her ability to give constructive criticism and encourage students to continue the journey as a nurse was outstanding! Great role model!

Dr. Jacobs was one of the greatest faculty instructors I had this semester. She interacted with us throughout her lectures and encouraged us to get involved with learning. She provided us with great learning skills for the clinical setting and I have learned so much from her. Dr. J was a very positive teacher and always made sure her students understood what she was teaching and encouraged us to ask questions throughout the lecture.

Dr. Jacobs shows a lot of compassion when it comes to students. She really cares that we learn in class as well as hands-on in lab and in clinical. She teaches and communicates with students in a way that makes us feel comfortable and excited to learn. Dr. Jacobs never comes off intimidating or rude, even if a student seems to be behind or struggling; instead, she works with the students and has a very encouraging attitude. She is the type of instructor that makes students want to learn and be involved.

Dr. Jacobs always has such a welcoming and bubbly personality during lectures, lab times, and clinical settings. She has great communication skills, and always goes out of her way to ensure that we understand all the information provided to us. She provides individualized feedback and positive criticism that allows a student to grow. I would recommend a nursing educator like Dr. Jacobs to anyone who could have her. She has such a strong passion for her career in nursing and serves as an amazing role model.

Dr. Jacobs is hands down one of the most uplifting and positive teachers and mentors I have ever had to teach me in my entire education. She has such an effective way of teaching without ever making her students feel a sense of neglect. She is always in such an excited mood to get involved in our lectures and our lab studies. I think she is so deserving of this award, and I hope other students see that as well. She has truly made a great impact on my education in my Foundations class and lab. We love Dr. J!!!
