Nurse Manager Holmes’ nominator was a patient on her floor who saw and heard Holmes assist and encourage her nursing team. Holmes even came in and took the time to talk with the patient. “Her making time for me made me feel special and heard as a patient,” the nominator wrote. The nominator continued to write “One night there was a code and when the manager came in, I overheard her coaching her staff and making sure all the paperwork was right and the nurses were okay.” Her nominator also mentioned Holmes’ dedication to her team as she heard her coaching and working one-on-one with her nurses. She stated that every hospital needed managers like Jenetta.
