Jeneva Gularte-Rinaldo 2, PhD, RN

Jeneva is a caring faculty member at Samuel Merritt University. Her attention to student learning is compassionate, attentive, and informed by a culturally competent scope of informatics. She displays a wide range of skills daily that students benefit from. Evidence-based practice and sound judgment are integral to each lecture she gives, shaping students to be the best healthcare providers possible.

As a student nurse who doesn't have any healthcare experience, I don't feel confident in entering healthcare settings. Yes, we have clinical rotations, but we are always there with the nurse, and most of the time we don't do the work on our own. So, to get employment at the hospital (or another medical setting), it is really important to gain confidence. I'm grateful for the opportunity that Dr. Gularte-Rinaldo created for us so we can get a CNA license and enter the healthcare field as a CNA.

Her mentorship and support were really important for me, and I think I wouldn't have completed and gotten my license if not for Dr. Gularte-Rinaldo. I really appreciate her work and her help for students like me. She has been a helpful person to me during my healthcare journey.
