I am an 88-year-old patient of VA home healthcare. Jenifer has been caring for me for the past four years. I am sure she treats all her patients the same, but she gives you the impression you are special and you have plenty of time to discuss everything with her. She really "hears" all your problems and never "cuts you short". She is truly sympathetic. With her engagement I have lost 50 unsightly and unhealthy pounds, helping me drop two blood pressure meds. She orders all my meds and supplies and keeps my pill drawers filled. She helps me understand my letters and reports from the VA. She collects and delivers my urine samples and gives me the annual flu shot. The VA now tells me she can draw my blood periodically to keep tabs on my coumadin levels for blood clots. She's like a personal friend, but very efficient and business-like. I feel she goes far beyond what is required for a nurse. My husband is also highly impressed with her and we feel she is a DAISY Nurse. She is truly extraordinary.
